Do you have an agrotechnical background and a solid commercial mindset? Are you passionate about cattle breeding and want to be vital in finding the perfect bulls worldwide to complement our portfolio?
We are seeking a Product Manager to drive the semen import and ensure optimal availability.
Import semen is a significant part of the VikingGenetics value chain, so it is essential to bring profiles from VikingGenetics’ bull selection that match customers’ needs. The role’s primary focus will be Holstein and Beef breeds.
As Product Manager, you will drive solutions as a sales support product area, ensuring that we develop solutions that the end-users and distributors see value in. You will guide the development and maintenance of the solutions in close cooperation with our sales department, informing users and training them in the effective utilization of the tools.
Your main tasks will be:
• Drive and develop semen import as a business area within VikingGenetics.
• Ensure that the requirements for import semen and the demands of our breeding programmes are covered.
• Guarantee optimal service and that the import semen demand from our Home Market Coops is always met.
• Scan the world market for bull profiles requested in our breeding program.
• P&L responsible and price setting of import semen towards Home Market coops
• Responsible for negotiations, price, conditions, and frame agreements with suppliers of semen.
• Responsible for administrative tasks on Import semen, in close cooperation with internal stakeholders.
• Participate in “IP protection, royalty programs, and sales clauses” from suppliers.
• Drive and develop solutions as an integrated part of our value proposition.
• Initiate, lead and drive identified projects to develop solutions.
• Be the Superuser of our solutions, such as Vik-Mate, and other tools.
• Coordinator of the photos of our animals.
• Support to Chief Product Manager and the Product Management Team
Workplace: In any of our 3 offices in Sweden, Finland, or Denmark
Your qualifications:
• Master’s degree within Agriculture or similar, or commercial background with practical Agro experience.
• Specialist knowledge within Cattle breeding, preferably well-experienced in the cattle environment.
• Fluent in English in writing and speaking, as well as a minimum of one European language (Scandinavian)
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office package, Business Central / Navision or Similar
